YS Jagan Flays Chandrababu For Failing To Deliver Poll Promises

Repalle:The Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy flayed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu over his failure to deliver on his poll promises made way back in 2014 during elections. The YSRCP supremo was addressing a massive public gathering at Repalle in Guntur district.

YS Jagan he began his speech amid the roars of people cheering him while chants of CM Jagan rent the air. YS Jagan pointed out that under the reign of Chandrababu Naidu, people of Andhra Pradesh were subject to hard ships. Particularly in Repalle municipality and rural regions, there is acute shortage of drinking water. It is learned that the water is supplied just once in two days for not more than 20 minutes. The region used to grow two crops every year. But the government has failed to even procure water to 15,000 acres, said the YSRCP chief. He also recalled that during the reign of his father, late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy six lift irrigation projects were constructed, but Chandrababu could not even complete two lift irrigation projects, even after people’s demand.

YS Jagan also observed that there was no development in the Nizampatnam port. The constituency lacks any facilities namely docks for the ships, road to the harbour., he pointed out  Apparently, the fishermen are denied fuel subsidy and support fund of Rs 4000 in non-fishing season, he said.

The Opposition Leader of Andhra Pradesh Assembly remarked that aquaculture was being carried out in 18,000 acres of the constituency, but there was no proper price for the final product. The break even would only happen if 100 counts of Prawns were paid Rs 270 in the market. On the contrary, the current price is Rs 200 and by the time crop was ready for sale next month the price may take a dip, added the people's leader.

Talking about the unfulfilled farm loan waivers, YS Jagan said that the total amount in 2014 was Rs 87,612 crores now it stands at a whopping Rs 1,50,000 crores At this juncture, Chandrababu is handing over post-dated cheques to the famrers after the election notification was out.

YS Jagan also exposed the fact that Chandrababu had amended the law to acquire land from poor peasants and the chief minister, who was supposed to help farmers was looting them by being the captain of all the middlemen. TDP supremo Chandrababu owns heritage and made it hard for the farmers. His cronies buy the farmer’s produce at meagre prices and sell the same at double the price in Heritage outlets to make profit, he said.

The leader of the masses promised that Navaratnalu would help the people of Andhra Pradesh to recover from the five years misrule of Chandrababu.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the welfare schemes assured under Navaratnalu:

* Input susbsidy of Rs 12,500 to the farmer and digging of borewells for free

* Farmers will be given 9 hours of electricity during the day and the price of one unit of power to aquaculture farmers will be cut down by Rs 1.50 ps

* A price stabilization fund with Rs 3000 crore and the rate of the crop is announced, when it is being sown.

* A fund to save farmers during natural calamities with Rs 4000 and cold storage in every mandal along with food processing units where ever needed.

* The cooperative dairies will be revamped in the first year and from second year Rs 4 subsidy per litre would be provided to those supplying milk to the dairy.

* No toll taxes and road taxes to agriculture bound tractors.

* YSR bheema, an insurance policy of Rs 7 lakhs for farmers in case of their death

* The prestigious Jalayagnam started by Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy will be completed in war footing and quick completion of Polavaram, Veligonda projects along with restoration of local ponds.

* Women sending their children to the school will be given Rs 15,000 ever year and expenses of higher education will be borne by the government.

* Loans of the self help groups will be waived in four phases and no interest loans will be offered to them.

* Under YSR Cheyuta SC, ST, BC and minority women from 45-60 years will be given Rs 75,000 in phases.

YS Jagan pointed out that Chandrababu had introduced the old-age pension scheme in the last three months. The amount which is currently Rs 2000 and if YSRCP comes to power then it will be made Rs 3000. He even addressed the issue of agrigold victims and said that they will all be rehabilitated.

He urged people to vote for Ramana the MLA candidate from his party and Nandigam Suresh, the MP candidate.
