Nellore, August 29: YSRCP MLC Varudu Kalyani launched a scathing attack on the TDP-JSP-BJP coalition for betraying women and running a government of deceit and neglect. Addressing the Women’s Wing meeting in Nellore, she said that ever since the coalition assumed power, women have been subjected to increasing atrocities and systemic injustice. “Liquor flows like rivers across Andhra Pradesh. Belt shops and permit rooms have mushroomed everywhere with official approvals. During YSRCP’s tenure, the Disha Act provided women protection, but the coalition has deliberately diluted it. They claimed they would eradicate ganja in one month, but today drugs and ganja are freely available, even through door delivery,” Kalyani said. She criticised the coalition of betraying its electoral promises. “They pledged more welfare than YS Jagan, but not a single promise has been implemented in full. They boast of ‘Super Six’ schemes while failing in delivery. The so-called free bus travel exists only in five buses. Andhra Pradesh today has not one, but three Chief Ministers, Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan. They promised a world-class capital, but what exists is a capital drowning in uncertainty. This is not governance, it is a government of debts and betrayals.” On women’s safety, she lashed out: “We are witnessing MLAs themselves harassing women, yet no action is taken. Pawan Kalyan once thundered he would tear the skin of those who touched women, where is that voice now? The tragic Sugali Preethi case happened under Chandrababu, but it was YS Jagan who stood by the family and ordered a CBI inquiry. Pawan exploited the case for votes before elections, but after coming to power, abandoned it. If he truly has sincerity, let him order CBI action today.” She said even grieving mothers have been denied an appointment with Pawan. “Despite having three women ministers, none has spoken against atrocities. One is busy granting paroles to criminals, another entangled in the sewing machine fraud, while others remain silent. Coalition leaders are not serving people, they are busy collecting ‘K-taxes’ and protecting their frauds.” Kalyani added, “The TDP has become a Telugu Dandupalyam Party. They unleash IT trolls to abuse women. We have seen even Modi’s mother and Pawan’s mother insulted online. For this coalition, women are only a tool for mockery, never for respect.” “Only under Jagan Mohan Reddy did women enjoy dignity, security, and welfare. To bring back that inclusive governance, every woman must rise to strengthen YSRCP.” YSRCP Women’s Wing leader Kakani Poojitha said the coalition’s history is one of broken promises and betrayal. “They change words as casually as changing clothes. Pawan, who claimed he would question everyone, cannot even answer the questions of his own conscience.”
