Party General Secretary Sajjala Ramkrishna Reddy

Hyderabad: The mass outreach program -Praja Sankalpa Yatra which is being successfully conducted by the leader of the opposition and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will conclude on January 9. This was officially stated by the Party General Secretary Sajjala Ramkrishna Reddy, who also extended his greetings for the New Year, on Tuesday.

Speaking to the Media from the Party Central Office, he said that the Praja Sankalpa Yatra began on November 6, 2017 from Idupulapaya in YSR Kadapa district and will come to an end at Icchapuram in Srikakulam district.

Till now 134 assembly constituencies , 120 public meetings, more than 2000 villages and 3500 kms have been covered by YS Jagan as part of this walkathon , or Padayatra.

He said that January 9 will be a historic day as the Padayatra will come to successful end. The senior YSR Congress party leader remarked that from January 2 solidarity programs would be conducted across the state and that the Padayatra goals would be explained to the YSRCP assembly convenors.

He also said that after Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's demise YS Jagan had to go through many difficulties including false cases filed on him , jail term and also a murder attempt on him at the Vizag Aiport. The past ten years he has faced a multitude of problems.

After the State bifurcation, several mistakes were made because of a some people's inability and this has affected the State's development. But the year 2019 is very crucial and YS Jagan will certainly become the next Chief Minister of the State and rout these corrupt leaders , he said.

As part of the Padayatra , YS Jagan is in direct contact with thousands of people of different segments of the social strata drawn from all regions. He has been lending a patient ear to them and has promised to solve their problems. YS Jagan is the new hope for the people of Andhra Pradesh and has reached out to people places where it was not conducive to walk. However, he went ahead and met them , he said.

He criticised Chandrababu saying that when he couldn't fulfil promises made at the time of elections, he is now making a hurried attempt to try and fulfil them which is impossible and in all these attempts, he is trying to look good amongst the people. His double standard politics with Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his stance on the bifurcation process itself shows his true self . We will be happy if either KCR or anyone could come forward and expose Chandrababu's corrupt ways. The state might have been bifurcated based on administration , not by the people and we would be happy if KCR expressed his support from the Separate Category Status Cause , he concluded.
