Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu criticised Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and described his one-day fast as just an eyewash. He said that the AP CM would stoop to any level for power. Chandrababu stabbed the back of his own father-in-law, NTR and became the chief of TDP. He also used Jr NTR for power, he said.
Talking to the media here today, Amabati Rambabu demanded to know if CM Chandrababu had ever made any effort to protect the state's interests during the last four years of his rule. TDP MLAs and party leaders have been bossing over the civil servants, he added. Recalling Chandrababu's statement that Special Package was much better than Special Category Status (SCS), he wondered what made the AP CM take a U-turn on the issue suddenly.
The YSRCP spokesperson said that it was the TDP leaders and its cadre which had to participate in the fast taken up by the chief minister. Ambati Rambabu expressed disbelief over students and DWACRA women being forced to sit in the fast along with Chandrababu. "If the TDP chief was sincere about SCS to AP he should lead a people's movement and not a paper's movement. His fast is only to misguide people of the state," he added.
