*TDP Coalition looting AP in the name of Amaravati*

Tadepalli, July 4: YSRCP Krishna district president and former minister Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani) on Saturday accused the coalition government of pushing Andhra Pradesh into a debt trap in the name of developing Amaravati.

 Addressing the media at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, he challenged the TDP coalition government to hold an open debate on the financial burden of Amaravati and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's proposed MAVIGUN development model covering Machilipatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur.

Perni Nani alleged that the government was emotionally blackmailing farmers in the name of the capital while burdening the state with massive loans. He questioned why the government planned to spend around Rs 20,000 per square foot on Amaravati buildings when the Centre was constructing similar buildings at a much lower cost. He said Amaravati had been reduced from the promise of a world-class capital to a project centred around a few government buildings.

He also alleged that the government was suppressing criticism on social media and filing cases against those who questioned Amaravati-related decisions. He claimed that questions on corruption and farmers' issues were being silenced instead of being answered.

Perni Nani also demanded a CBI probe into the Sai Krishna custodial death case and criticised the SIT investigation. He alleged that the coalition government had failed to maintain law and order and challenged it to answer questions on Amaravati and the economic benefits of the MAVIGUN development model with facts and figures.
