*YSRCP extends Legal Aid to KVR, Ravan*

Tadepalli, July 4: YSRCP Legal Cell State President Malasani Manohar Reddy announced that the party has decided to extend legal assistance to Telangana journalist K.V. Reddy (KVR) and YouTuber Ravan, stating that the move is aimed at defending constitutional rights and democratic values in the face of what he described as politically motivated misuse of the police machinery. Addressing the media at the YSRCP Central Office in Tadepalli, he clarified that neither KVR nor Ravan has any connection with YSRCP, but the party has a constitutional and moral responsibility to support individuals facing what he termed false cases and state repression.

Manohar Reddy said the arrests of KVR and Ravan were part of a deliberate diversion strategy to shift public attention away from issues including the Gade Sai Krishna custodial death, the deteriorating law and order situation, the DSC-2025 scam, and corruption in Amaravati and MAVIGUN-related issues. He said attempts were being made to portray Ravan as a YSRCP supporter in order to engineer political confrontation between Jana Sena and YSRCP, while using police and sections of the media for political purposes.

He stated that people have lost confidence in the police system, citing the disappearance of Sai Krishna’s body and CCTV footage from Krishna Lanka Police Station as examples of institutional failure. He also questioned the repeated arrests of Ravan in multiple jurisdictions after courts refused to grant remand, and condemned the reported entry of Jana Sena activists into a police station to confront him.

Manohar Reddy said YSRCP would continue its legal and moral fight against what he described as state-sponsored suppression of democratic rights, misuse of police powers and politically motivated arrests. He asserted that the party would stand firmly for the protection of the Constitution, the rule of law and civil liberties, while demanding equal application of the law regardless of political affiliation.
