*Naidu stealing credit for YS Jagan’s land reforms: YSRCP*

Tadepalli, August 10: YSRCP MLC Mondithoka Arun Kumar said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is taking credit for the comprehensive land resurvey and digital land reforms introduced during Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure. He said the YSRCP government launched the first comprehensive land survey in nearly 100 years and carried it out in 6,800 villages using advanced technologies including GNSS, GIS, CORS, RTK, NRTK, drones, aircraft and helicopters.
Arun Kumar said Chandrababu had earlier claimed that the resurvey and Land Titling Act were meant to grab people’s lands, but is now continuing the same systems and presenting them as his own achievements. He said QR-code security features, terrestrial mapping, village-level registration services and the deployment of e-VROs, surveyors and digital assistants across nearly 15,000 Secretariats were all introduced by the Jagan government.
He said the coalition government is merely changing the colour of pattadar passbooks while continuing the same technology, even increasing the passbook cost from Rs. 55.79 to Rs. 70, burdening farmers further.

Arun Kumar also criticised the government’s handling of 22-A lands, stating that lands released during the Jagan government were brought back under 22-A and selectively removed for favoured persons. He urged people to examine G.O. No. 334 and said the government is creating fresh complications instead of resolving them.
He said Chandrababu knows the “software of lies” better than technology and asserted that the public is watching the repeated falsehoods on land survey, passbooks and land titling.
