Telugus
of Michigan state in the US paid rich tributes to the late chief minister of
Andhra Pradesh Dr Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy on Sept 7, 2012 on the eve of his third
Vardhanti.
The
YSR fans and YSR Congress supporters of Detroit met at Farmington and paid
floral tributes to the great visionary YSR and observed a minute’s silence as a
mark of respect to him.
The
meeting, which began with the lighting of the lamp, discussed how YSR
implemented the welfare schemes during his stint as the Chief Minister.
The memorial event was organized by
Lingala Hariprasad Reddy, Vinod Kukunoor, Venkat Beeram, Sunil Manduti, Sivaram
Yarlagadda, Yugandhar Bhumireddy, Purashotham Kukati, Vinod Atmakur, Srinivas
Chittaluri, Jagan Konda, Srinivas Reddy Pidaparthy, Ravi Kiran, Nagender Gali,
Vidyadhar Bujala, Venu Kagithala, Sekhar Pangaru, Srinivas Barla, Konda Reddy
Thottireddy, Ramana Reddy Patelu, Sudhir and others.
Recalling
the services of YSR to the Telugu people, the participants said YSR had handed
a golden regime aiming at people’s welfare.
Observing
that the YSR Congress Party was established by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to fight
for the welfare of the people, the participants said they had full confidence
that the party would fulfill the unfinished task left by YSR.
They
stressed the need to support Jagan in his fight for finding solutions to the
problems of the poor in AP and recalled the activities undertaken by the party
in the last one year.
“People of Andhra Pradesh have their
hopes on YS Jagan to lead them out of present crisis and bring back the past
glory,” said the activists. “We are hopeful that the AP people will continue to
stand by the young and dynamic leader Jagan who has been relentlessly fighting
for the proper implementation of several welfare schemes introduced by his
father YSR.
The participants discussed various plans
and activities which will be implemented in the near future in the name of YSR.
