Anakapalli, April 23: YSRCP has strongly criticized Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for repeated attempts to claim credit for projects initiated by the previous government. Former minister Gudivada Amarnath said the foundation stone being laid for ReNew Solar projects was for investments brought during the tenure of Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking to the media at the party office in Anakapalli, he said that an agreement with ReNew was signed during the 2023 Global Investors Summit for investments worth around Rs 95,000 crore. He added that the project was finalized earlier during roadshows held in Delhi when he was industries minister and that all required government orders were issued by the YSRCP government. He said the party is ready to provide copies of the GOs to the current government.
He questioned whether the coalition government had brought even a single new industry in the last two years and alleged that instead of governance, it is focusing on political criticism. He said using an inauguration platform to attack YS Jagan Mohan Reddy showed the government’s priorities.
Amarnath also accused Chandrababu Naidu of indulging in diversion politics and repeated credit theft, stating that such practices have become his pattern. He said the government should focus on fulfilling its promises instead of misleading the public.
He further alleged that Chandrababu Naidu is unable to respond to the Mavigun proposal and is deliberately avoiding discussion on balanced regional development. He questioned whether development should be limited to a few areas like Amaravati while ignoring major cities such as Guntur, Vijayawada, and Machilipatnam.
