*YSRCP highlights irregularities in sale of Srivani tickets*

Tirupati, May 16: YSRCP has reiterated that there are large-scale irregularities in the sale of Srivani tickets by the TTD, demanded a high-level inquiry, and slammed the government for corrupt practices at the sacred place.
Speaking to the media here on Saturday, former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy demonstrated how he could not get a Srivani ticket when he logged in at the specified time and the server showed an error.
At the same time, all the allotted 800 tickets were sold out in less than two minutes, and though he logged in in the specified format seeking a ticket, the server showed an error.
The tickets are being bought and sold by middlemen with the connivance of TTD authorities and officials, and there is a fraud of Rs 48,000 crore in the sale of Srivani tickets itself, while Rs 400 crores are being pocketed by middlemen through the sale of VIP tickets and others.
When we raised the issue recently, there was no response from the concerned authorities and no corrective measures were taken, which is evident from the fact that all the tickets were sold out in less than two minutes today, he said.
The Srivani Trust was formed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with a noble cause and, when we were in government, all systems were in place.
Yet Chandrababu and his propaganda machinery made a hue and cry with false allegations of irregularities. After stopping the objective of the Trust of building temples with a stroke of a pen, now the coalition government and the TTD Board under the chairmanship of BR Naidu have made the system vulnerable to middlemen who are looting money.
They have been leveling one charge after another against us, from adulterated ghee to Parakamani, and running the story for months together only to defame us, ending up with no evidence to indict us, as their sole intention is to publicize their version to cover up their failures, he said.
