YSRCP slams TDP- Janasena for attack on Harika, questions silence of government

Tadepalli, July 12: YSR Congress Party came down heavily on the TDP–Janasena alliance for the violent attack on Krishna Zilla Parishad Chairperson Uppala Harika, condemning the incident as yet another example of growing lawlessness under the coalition government.
Former Ministers Vidadala Rajini and Usha Sricharan on Saturday criticized the silence and inaction of the state police and government leaders in the face of such brutality.
Rajini said that the incident reflects how the coalition is diverting attention from its failures by targeting YSRCP through political vendetta under the guise of "Red Book governance." She pointed out that while the TDP promised "Super Six" welfare schemes, their only action so far has been jailing hundreds of YSRCP workers. She added that this kind of oppressive and vengeful rule has never been seen before and that the coalition has no intention of serving the people.
Usha Sricharan described the attack by TDP and Janasena workers on a woman public representative as barbaric and unprovoked. She questioned how law and order can exist when even a district’s first citizen is not being protected by police. She asked why Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh, and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan are silent, and why Home Minister Anitha hasn’t spoken a word despite this attack on a woman leader.
YSRCP Women's Wing President Varudu Kalyani strongly condemned the brutal attack on Krishna Zilla Parishad Chairperson Uppala Harika by TDP and Janasena workers. She said it was inhuman and shameful that such an attack was carried out in broad daylight while the police remained silent spectators. Kalyani questioned how women in general can feel safe when even a woman public representative is not given protection under this so-called Red Book governance. She demanded answers from Chandrababu, Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan, and criticized Home Minister Anitha for remaining silent.
Former Minister Merugu Nagarjuna also condemned the incident, calling it a violent and reckless act against a BC woman leader. He said the attack exposes the failure of law and order under the coalition and questioned whether this is democracy or a jungle rule. He warned that people will soon deliver a fitting lesson to those responsible.
