*DSC irregularities must be answered, not covered up: MLC Chandrasekhar Reddy*

Tadepalli, June 5: YSRCP MLC Chandrasekhar Reddy said the growing evidence surrounding DSC-2025 points to serious irregularities and questioned why the government and Education Department officials have failed to provide clear answers to the legitimate concerns raised by candidates. He said thousands of DSC aspirants have suffered injustice and accused senior education officials of making contradictory and misleading statements.
Questioning the government's claim that call letters were issued in a 1:1 ratio, Chandrasekhar Reddy asked what exactly that meant when many candidates who completed certificate verification were ultimately denied appointments. He said vertical and horizontal reservations must be implemented strictly as per established norms and criticized the government's explanation regarding Sports Quota appointments, stating that some candidates appear to have been sacrificed to accommodate others under the quota.
He said the recruitment process adopted by the government is unprecedented and urged officials to review whether the selections were carried out properly. He questioned why the government has not released a comprehensive selection list and noted that officials have failed to answer several important questions raised by candidates and stakeholders.
Chandrasekhar Reddy emphasized that teacher and doctor posts cannot be distributed arbitrarily and pointed out that, under the Right to Education Act and existing recruitment norms, candidates must possess the prescribed qualifications, including TET eligibility. He questioned how appointments could be granted to individuals who had not qualified in TET or DSC examinations or who lacked B.Ed. or D.Ed. qualifications, and asked how jobs could be awarded solely on the basis of Sports Authority certification.
He further demanded an inquiry into allegations that posts were sold and questioned how candidates who allegedly failed to complete mandatory self-declaration requirements or upload essential certificates were granted appointments while qualified candidates were denied jobs. He cited the case of a National Games gold medalist who was not selected and said the government must explain such anomalies.
Instead of targeting candidates who raise concerns, authorities should show empathy towards those who believe they have been denied justice and conduct a thorough, transparent investigation into the entire recruitment process, he said.
