*Fake liquor transport scam is a Red Book production script to target BC leaders: YSRCP*

Tadepalli, June 20: YSRCP official spokesperson Yanamala Nagarjuna Yadav stated that the coalition government has fabricated a "Liquor Transport Scam" solely to target BC leaders and harass the family of Karumuri. He said the liquor policy implemented during the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government functioned entirely under government control with complete transparency, leaving no scope for corruption. Despite no objections from audits or the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), the government registered a case based on a complaint scripted in the TDP office by a TNSF leader close to Nara Lokesh, exposing the political motive behind the investigation.

He said the entire complaint, investigation and arrest follow a script written and directed by Nara Lokesh under a "Red Book Productions" model, with the FIR itself reflecting inconsistencies in the alleged figures cited by the complainant. Nagarjuna Yadav asserted that transport tenders during the previous government were conducted transparently through statewide bidding, with contracts awarded to the lowest bidders after scrutiny by financial bid committees. He stated that district-level committees determined transportation rates based on operational requirements and dismissed media reports claiming inflated transport charges as false.

He further said the statewide transport tender process was introduced to resolve issues arising from the COVID-induced collapse in liquor sales and the demands of hamali workers for uniform commissions. Criticising the coalition government for targeting BC leaders, he said Karumuri Sunil Kumar, an accomplished professional committed to public service, was arrested as part of political vendetta. He declared that YSRCP workers and social media activists have never feared illegal cases or arrests and that the party remains resolute against intimidation, warning that every act of political persecution will receive a tenfold democratic response in the future.
