Tadepalli, July 9: YSRCP SC Cell Working President Kommuri Kanaka Rao strongly condemned the coalition government for diverting public attention from the attempt to kill Thopudurthi Prakash Reddy by hitting him with a tipper. He said instead of responding to the serious attack, Chandrababu Naidu is using MLA M.S. Raju to create diversion politics and shift the discussion away from the real issue.
Kanaka Rao warned that YSRCP will not tolerate M.S. Raju speaks irresponsibly or repeatedly using the caste card for political gain. He questioned why M.S. Raju, who is now speaking in the name of caste, remained silent on the suicide of Kranthi Kumar. He said Kranthi Kumar’s family worked for the TDP, yet the ruling party did not show even basic sympathy towards the family after his death.
He said 15 SCs have died by suicide in the last two years, unable to bear the harassment under the coalition government, but M.S. Raju never questioned Chandrababu on these deaths. He also asked why M.S. Raju failed to question the government when SC Corporations were left without funds and when the interests of Dalits were ignored.
Kanaka Rao said no one should use caste as a shield for political bargaining or for securing ministerial positions. If M.S. Raju has real commitment, he should question Chandrababu on the rights and lands of the Madiga community, instead of attacking YSRCP leaders.
He demanded that the government immediately respond to the attempt on Thopudurthi Prakash Reddy’s life and take action, instead of hiding behind diversionary politics
