*Chandrababu cheating people on Polavaram*

Kakinada, Sept 3: YSRCP has flayed Chandrababu for his tall claims on Polavaram though his contribution to the project is meager and is confined only to allotting the contracts to his favroured few while major chunk of the project was done by Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy which was taken forward by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. 
Speaking to media here on Thursday, former minister Kurasala Kannababu said, the water being released in Anakapalli is that of Purushothampatnam and was brought through lift and not by gravity of the Polavaram and the huge publicity cannot cover up the failures of the Chandrababu.
He expressed concern over the safety of the project in wake of the poor quality construction which was flagged by CWC for which there was no answer.  
He has compromised on the quality of the project which was mentioned by CWC expert committee for which there is no reply from his side and maintained stoic silence when the height of was reduced even as the shoddy construction poses a threat to the project. 
It was YSR through his Jalayagnam who has brought clearances and conceived many irrigation projects and was responsible to the right and left canals of the project while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took forward the good work and has worked hard to clear the mess that was created by TDP government during 2014-19.
The land acquisition and compensation to displaced persons are the points which he will not touch upon but boasts of taking the Godavari waters to the temple towns of north Andhra.
Undoing the damage took a lot of time for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who despite Covid had made the project progress and even for Veligonda for which Chandrbabu is claiming false credit had completed major part of the tunnel work. 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had categorically told during 2019 electioneering that Polavaram has become an ATM for Chandrababu and it is no different now. He has allocated the contracts at exorbitant rates to his favoured contractors, he said.  
Chandrbabu has been of the habit to stake false claim and take credit for the work done by others and if anyone questions false cases will be foisted on them. 
Using the plank to target YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP is only a diversion politics as he has backstabbed all sections of people by going back on poll promises and cheating women, farmers, students, youth and others.
