*Unqualified candidates secured DSC jobs: Appi Reddy*

Tadepalli, September 3: YSRCP MLC Lella Appi Reddy demanded the immediate resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh and a CBI investigation into Mega DSC-2025, saying government records exposed serious violations in TET eligibility, Sports Quota appointments, certificate verification and the recruitment process.
Appi Reddy said candidates who failed to secure the prescribed TET qualifying marks were nevertheless given teacher posts. He cited cases from Kurnool, Chittoor and East Godavari where candidates either failed to meet the required TET cut-off or qualified in one subject but were appointed in another. He also referred to questionable caste and sports certificates and said candidates with deficient records were accommodated while deserving aspirants were denied opportunities.
He said the government changed the Sports Quota framework through G.O.s 4 and 47, raised the reservation from 2% to 3%, and enabled direct recruitment without the regular DSC examination. He said the Sports DSC records reflected 382 entries, while serious questions remained over certificate authenticity, participation claims and verification. He cited reports of negotiations ranging from ₹15 lakh to ₹20 lakh per teacher post, including the complaint of a woman from Prakasam district who said she paid money but did not receive the promised job.
Appi Reddy questioned how certificates signed by persons without prescribed authority were accepted, how genuine medal-winning sportspersons such as Durgaiah were overlooked, and how questionable sporting claims entered the selection process.

He also raised the concentration of DSC question-paper functions under the SCERT Director and the case of outsourced employee Naveen securing Rank 1 before later approaching the High Court.
Appi Reddy said Lokesh avoided a detailed debate in the Legislative Council despite YSRCP MLCs demanding answers for four days. “Do not issue challenges outside. Come to the Council and answer the evidence,” he said.
He demanded that Lokesh accept moral responsibility, resign immediately and facilitate an independent CBI investigation, warning that YSRCP would continue its legal and political fight on behalf of affected candidates.
