Tadepalli, June 10: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed profound grief over the demise of legendary filmmaker and actor Bharathiraja, describing his passing as an irreparable loss to the Indian film industry.
YS Jagan said Bharathiraja carved a unique place in Indian cinema by bringing rural life and human relationships to the silver screen with remarkable realism and sensitivity, inspiring generations of filmmakers and audiences alike. He noted that apart from being an iconic director, Bharathiraja also left a lasting impression as an accomplished actor through several memorable performances in recent years.
Calling his demise a great loss to South Indian cinema and the world of arts, Y.S. Jagan conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Bharathiraja’s family, admirers, and the entire film fraternity. He prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
