Tadepalli, June 13: YSRCP State Spokesperson and Yerragondapalem MLA Thatiparthi Chandrasekhar stated that the coalition government’s Tirupati public meeting was not a celebration of two years of governance but a “festival of betrayal” against six crore people of Andhra Pradesh. Addressing the media at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, he said the government had completely abandoned its “Super Six” promises and was attempting to mislead the public through propaganda instead of performance.
Chandrasekhar claimed that governance in the state is now functioning under a “Cash–Rajesh–Lokesh” formula, alleging that corruption and political influence have replaced transparency and accountability. He criticized the Education Minister for failing to answer allegations surrounding the DSC-2025 recruitment process and questioned how a minister unable to explain recruitment irregularities could continue to lead the department. He further remarked that Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who once claimed to question those in power, has now been reduced to defending the government’s failures.
The YSRCP leader alleged that every section of society—from newborn children to farmers, youth, women, students and employees—had been betrayed during the coalition’s two-year tenure. He accused the government of pushing the state into a debt trap through borrowings of ₹3.60 lakh crore while failing to implement its election promises, including welfare commitments under the Super Six agenda. He further alleged that government education had been weakened, public institutions neglected, recruitment processes compromised, and opportunities commercialized.
Throwing an open challenge to the Chief Minister, Chandrasekhar said he would resign as MLA if the government could prove that electricity tariffs had been reduced even by a single rupee during the last two years. He asked whether Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan would resign from their respective positions if they failed to substantiate such claims. He also criticized the government’s handling of Aarogyasri dues and alleged that Amaravati was being used as a vehicle for real estate interests rather than public development.
Contrasting the present administration with the previous YSRCP government, Chandrasekhar said the tenure of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was marked by welfare, transparency and grassroots governance, whereas the current government has failed to deliver on 143 election promises despite massive borrowing. He asserted that the Tirupati event had only exposed the coalition government’s failures and warned that the people of Andhra Pradesh would hold it accountable for what he described as broken promises and betrayal.
