TDP’s fear of YSRCP exposed as Nellore turns into a theatre of intimidation: Anil Kumar Yadav

Nellore, Dec 12: Former minister Anil Kumar Yadav strongly condemned the TDP-led coalition government for unleashing intimidation, misuse of police force, and unethical political tactics ahead of the Nellore Mayor no-confidence episode. Speaking at the YSR Congress Party district office in Nellore, he said that even before YSRCP announced any decision on the no-confidence motion, the TDP had already begun “camp politics” in Puducherry, proof that they are terrified of YSRCP’s moral strength. He questioned how a party claiming the support of 41 corporators is trembling the moment five corporators express willingness to return to YSRCP. Instead of maintaining law and order, the police are being used as delivery agents for TDP leaders, arresting corporators and even their children, shifting them secretly to Tirupati, threatening families with ganja cases, abusing women over phone calls, and kidnapping elected public representatives in the middle of the night.
Anil Kumar Yadav said the TDP is stooping to disgraceful levels for an eight-month Mayor seat, offering corporators works worth Rs.10 crore and still failing to stop them from returning to YSRCP because people have already decided that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will become Chief Minister again. Nellore Corporation, which was won 54-0 by YSRCP, has been destabilised only after the coalition came to power, leading to the rise of drugs, ganja networks and rowdyism. Instead of governance, the TDP is running after corporators with bribes, threats, kidnappings and social-media propaganda because they cannot counter the public’s renewed trust in YS Jagan.
He cautioned the coalition government against snatching away the rightful political opportunity given by YS Jagan to the Yanadi community, calling it inhuman and vindictive. Intimidating ST families, abusing women, and using ganja cases as a political weapon only exposes TDP’s moral bankruptcy. Even with a claimed strength of 164 members, the coalition has fallen to the level of threatening corporators’ wives and children.
Anil Kumar Yadav also slammed the illegal arrest and framing of Pinnelli Rama Krishna Reddy and his brother in the Palnadu double-murder case. He said that even the district SP initially confirmed the murder resulted from factional clashes between two TDP groups, and TDP’s own newspaper Eenadu reported the same. The car involved carried the TDP MLA’s sticker, and the victim’s son-in-law clearly stated Pinnelli had no role. Yet, the government manipulated the case for political vendetta, deployed high-profile lawyers like Siddharth Luthra to target YSRCP leaders, and kept the Pinnelli brothers in jail for months only because TDP fears YSRCP’s influence in Palnadu. He warned that the government will have to pay a heavy price in the future for weaponising the police and destroying the rule of law.
He asserted that YSRCP leaders will not be cowed down by illegal arrests or intimidation, and the party stands firmly with the families of corporators and with the Pinnelli brothers. The people of Andhra Pradesh are watching, he said, and their growing confidence in YS Jagan’s return is precisely what is shaking the TDP to its core.
