*Mahanadu, a flop show; Women quota, a farce*

Nagari, May 28: YSRCP has termed the ongoing Mahanadu as a flop show and affirmed that the women reservation issue shows TDP’s double standards as women were always neglected by Chandrababu.
Speaking to media here on Thursday, former Minister RK Roja stated that the Party which was trying hard to champion the cause of women has shown its double standards when the Party MPs, MLAs and others had dined with Congress leaders just after the Women’s Reservation Bill was defeated in the Lok Sabha.
TDP Minister and leaders dining with Revanth Reddy of Congress which was instrumental in defeating the Women’s Bill speaks of the sincerity of the Party on the issue.
It was YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who extended his full support to Women’s Reservation since long and has given prime posts in his government and Corporations and has launched various welfare schemes for women including Cheyutha, Aasara, Amma Vodi, giving house site pattas in the name women among others.
Chandrababu has scrapped all those schemes on one hand and filed to implement his poll promises on women welfare. The Stree Sakti remains a non-starter, free bus travel, free LPG cylinders were not being given and women along with other sections are felt cheated.
The Nari Shakti slogan remains a mockery as women are being asked to give birth to third and forth child with meager incentives.
Law and order in the State has been deteriorating and atrocities on women and minors are on rise with ganja and belt shops being operating indiscriminately. Cases are not registered on the coalition cadre while the police is being used to target Opposition.
Mahanadu has been a flop show with the TDP cadre showing scant interest in the hybrid mode of the event which shows that people’s support is in the wane to the ruling coalition. People of all and sundry background started targeting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and calling names.
All through the meeting, YS Jagan’s name has more count than that of Chandrababu Naidu or Lokesh which shows how scared TDP is of YSRCP, she said.
