*YSRCP demands CBI Probe, lists Major anomalies in DSC Recruitment*

Tadepalli, June 14: Reiterating its demand for a CBI probe into the DSC recruitment process, YSRCP said glaring irregularities at every stage have deprived thousands of deserving candidates of employment. Speaking to the media, Party MLC Parvatha Chandrasekhar Reddy said the allegations are backed by documentary evidence and RTI material, exposing serious flaws in the recruitment process.

He questioned the case of an SCERT outsourcing employee who secured first rank in Social Studies and sixth rank in TGT Telugu but was ultimately not appointed, while raising concerns over his reported involvement in the question paper preparation process and the alleged paper leak. Despite repeated representations, the government and officials have failed to provide clear answers, taking shelter behind pending court proceedings.

Highlighting Sports Quota irregularities, he said the mandatory linkage between the highest achievement certificate and backup certificate was ignored in several cases. Participation certificates and ineligible backup certificates were accepted, while deserving candidates were denied appointments. He cited instances where candidates submitted highest achievement and backup certificates from different sports disciplines but were still selected, contrary to established norms. In some cases, even the recommendations of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) were reportedly disregarded by the School Education Department.

The MLC also questioned the 1:1 certificate verification process, improper implementation of vertical reservations, and the normalization process, alleging that selected sessions were awarded an additional 7–8 marks, affecting candidates whose prospects depended on differences as small as 0.1 mark. He said CBSE and Navodaya English-medium candidates were also unfairly disadvantaged despite qualifying in TET.

He further stated that candidates raising their grievances are facing harassment and trolling on social media while lakhs of unemployed youth continue to suffer mental agony due to the recruitment irregularities. Maintaining that the government’s responses have been inconsistent and unconvincing, he said only an independent CBI investigation can uncover the full extent of the irregularities and ensure justice for deserving DSC candidates.
