Govt. fails to answer core issue on APMDC bonds

Hyderabad, July 10: Taking strong objection to the coalition government’s false propaganda that there were efforts by YSRCP to stop the NMDC bonds, YSRCP has said that the government has failed to answer the core point of why private parties were given access to exchequer.

Speaking to media here on Thursday, former Finance Minister said the government has been saying that letters were written to various agencies in a bid to stall the bonds and a case of sedition should be filed against YSRCP but it did not answer the main question raised by us about giving access to state exchequer to private parties.
There could be some well-wisher of the state who must have written to international agencies and the issue we raised was about the third-party access to public money.

When YSRCP government took loan mortgaging future income of Beverages Corporation, we did not take such unconstitutional step. The loan raised was used for welfare schemes. Yet the TDP had raised a big hue and cry and wrote letters to various stakeholders, he reminded.

Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav stating that a case of sedition should be registered should also apply to TDP in a more serious manner, he said and reiterated that financial discipline has been better during YS Jagan Mohan Reddy term than the coalition term.

Farmers are not getting MSP, and when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy visits Bangarupalem and other places to express solidarity with farmers, the government has been creating hurdles but the overwhelming response highlights the failure of government on various fronts.

Though the state budget was nearly the same, YSRCP has given a welfare calendar and adhered to it while the coalition went back on all the poll promises and whopping loans taken by the Chandrababu Naidu government has no account, he said.

Even government employees are being cheated by Chandrababu Naidu besides women, farmers, youth, and students. There has been a major cut in the number of beneficiaries in Talliki Vandanam, and anomalies in Deepam scheme while free bus and Stri Nidhi are yet to see light of the day and farmers are waiting for Annadata Sukhibhava.

When the opposition raises questions on these failures, the government calls us traitors which shows the arrogance of the government, he said.
