Tadepalli, July 12: YSR Congress Party President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy spoke to Krishna Zilla Parishad Chairperson Uppala Harika over the phone and enquired about the shocking attack on her in Gudivada.
He condemned the incident in the strongest terms and expressed deep concern over the growing lawlessness in the state.
YS Jagan said party leaders had informed him about how TDP and Janasena workers carried out the attack. He described the situation as extremely disturbing, especially when a BC woman and a district’s first citizen is left shaken and in fear. He asked what could be more shameful for a state than such a collapse of basic security.
He expressed serious anger, stating that democracy is being destroyed in Andhra Pradesh and the state is heading toward jungle rule under the TDP-led coalition. He said these violent actions show a complete breakdown of governance and public safety.
YS Jagan assured Harika of full support from the YSR Congress Party and encouraged her to remain strong. He told her that the party stands firmly with her in the face of this political violence and intimidation.
