Ghee tender process relaxed

Tirupati, Feb 18: YSRCP has pointed out the glaring discrepancies in the tender process of ghee purchase only to benefit a favoured firm.
Speaking to media here on Wednesday, former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said, TTD has been conducting itself like an affiliate unit of TDP and has been speaking in unison.
The Indapur Milk products and Mother dairy were favoured with undue favours and the tender process rigged and manipulated. They could secure Rs 130 crore worth tenders, he said.
While Nandini Dairy of Karnataka Milk Federation has supplied over 26 lakh kg of ghee and Indapur company, which expressed its inability to supply the required quantity ended up as third bidder and could secure the contract which shows the manipulation of tender process, he said.
While they claim that the process was relaxed, it led to all the misappropriation while expert committee has endorsed our reforms, he said.
