2013: YSR Congress Party chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife Smt.
Y.S.Bharati expressed her anger at Congress and TDP leaders making baseless
allegations about her husband’s Mulakat meetings in Chanchalguda jail.
In an open letter, Smt.
Bharati said despite her husband’s strict adherence to the jail Mulakat manual
and meeting only 8 persons including the family members a week in his capacity
as a remand prisoner, the TDP and Congress leaders have stooped so low to make
baseless allegations enviously.
“Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy
has been carrying the support of 33 MLAs and 2 MPs including those from other
parties besides the solidarity of the people,” she said and added: “Such a mass
leader has been illegally jailed for the last 11 months and they are now
conspiring together to prevent him from meeting even his family members- me and
my children,” she said anxiously.
We do not find more
injustice and dirtier politics than this anywhere, she said in her letter,
observing that CBI, in Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy case, had thrown away to the winds
the basic rule of completing the investigation and filing the final charge
sheet within three months of arresting a person.
She said the CBI has
been adopting a different standard of investigation in Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy
case. Starting from registering FIR to taking up investigation to filing of
charge sheets, the Congress and TDP have been unabashedly been hand in glove.
“The conspiracy is being extended further by these two parties to prevent Sri
Jagan Mohan Reddy from meeting even his family members though there has been no
violation of Mulakat manual,” Smt. Bharati said.
“If Chandrababu Naidu
or Kiran Kumar Reddy had been in jail and asked to meet only 8 persons
including their wives and children a week, would they and their parties keep
quiet? Would they have been jailed for 11 months without granting bail or the
charges being proved? Tell by your heart? Is what is happening correct? Has
your conscience not questioned you once?” she asked the Congress and TDP
leaders.
Why is Chandrababu silent
on CM Kiran Kumar against whom allegations were made by Sankara Rao? Why has
Kiran Kumar not initiated any action against Naidu who has been facing
allegations in land allotments to IMG Bharata and Emaar?
Smt. Bharati said both
Naidu and Kiran Kumar have been helping each other to preserve their positions
not caring for people’s problems and warned them that people will not keep
quiet over this.
When our family,
enjoying the massive support of the people, is waging a battle even to protect
our rights, how can the depressed and the poor protect themselves? God Almighty
has been watching all this injustice and will deliver the justice at the
appropriate time, she remarked
