A Vehement Struggle, It Is

  • YSRCP fights relentlessly for SCS
  • YS Jagan poses a step forward for direct struggle
  • YS Jagan to participate in candlelight vigil on Republic Day
  • Rally in all district headquarters
  • Youth of AP slam the restrictions imposed on peaceful rally

The leader of opposition in AP and YSRCP president, YS Jagan, has been relentlessly fighting for the sanction of special category status for the past 3 years. Now he got ready for a direct struggle again, calling for a peaceful candlelight vigil on Republic Day. He shall directly participate in the programme at Visakhapatnam.

The Government is conspiring to pose hurdles to the programme. While the whole country celebrates Republic Day, the people of AP are going to wait for the dusk to hold the rally and make their voice heard and symbolically show how much they waited for the brightness to come with SCS in their future, amidst desperate attempts of ruling TDP and BJP to water down the struggle.

Youth passionate about the status
The state has become a hot kiln in light of the movement going on in demand of sanction of special category status. This is not an exaggerated wish. This is the right of people of AP and a promise made by the Government right in the parliament building. This is the assurance offered by PM Narendra Modi and CM Chandrababu before they came to power. Chandrababu, Venkaiah Naidu, Narendra Modi and Pawan Kalyan betrayed the people of the state by making the false promise to bring SCS, to recommend for SCS, to give SCS and to fight for SCS, respectively.

Restrictions on peaceful agitation
Chandrababu, who claims to be the seniormost politician in the country, is not new to agitations. He staged many agitations while in the opposition. Yet, he finds fault in the agitation being staged by the youth for a just cause like special category status. He is literally threatening them against fighting for it in the name of section 144 and arrests. Does he not remember that he had never taken permission from the Government to conduct protests while in the opposition? Why is he posing hurdles now?
