MLAs alligned with YSR Congress Party on Wednesday decided not to appear before Speaker NadndlaManohar for dfying the whip and voting in favour of the no confidence motion.
“We have already explained our stand clearly in our resignation letters and there is no point in deposing before the Speaker and reiterating the same reasons,” Ramachandrapurm MLA, Pilli Subashchandra Bose told reporters at the YSRC Party office here.
“There is nothing new that we have to say. We have clearly mentioned as to why we have defied the Congress whip and voted in favour of the No Confidence Motion,” he said.
Asserting that the exercise of deposing before the Speaker as and when summoned and explaining the same reasons which we have been categorical about, does not serve any purpose, he said, it serves no purpose.
He reminded that they stood up aginst the whip in the presence of the Speaker in the assembly and it was to the public knowledge.
