Wherever Chandrababu places his foot, disaster was inevitable: YS Jagan

Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed a massive public gathering in Amadalavalasa in Srikakulam district.
Taking a jibe at Chandrababu for the Praja Kutami's failure in Telangana elections, he said wherever Chandrababu places his foot, disaster was inevitable. The TDP's yellow media and newspapers couldn't save Chandrababu from defeat, he commented.
YS Jagan recalled that the Amadalavalasa constituency was once a home to Jains and Buddhists. But, now, Amadalavalasa became home to rampant corruption in Neeru-Chettu programme, liquor shops and various other aspects.
Chandrababu and local MLA Kuna Ravi Kumar are known for their illegal activities in the constituency. When Chandrababu was in power, the Amadalavalasa sugar factory ran into losses. It was sold to Chandrababu's associates for just Rs 6 crore when its actual cost was Rs 100 crore.
After the locals filed a case, the case was shifted to Supreme Court in Chandrababu's rule. Later, when late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy came to power, the case was withdrawn and the factory was re-opened.
During the reign of subsequent governments, the factory was closed down due to losses. In 2014, Chandrababu promised to re-open the factory. "Did he re-open the factory?" YS Jagan asked the crowd.
