YSRCP slams Naidu’s vendetta against sakshi media

Tadepalli, May 8: YSRCP strongly condemns Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for his vindictive campaign to suppress Sakshi media and target political opponents. At a press conference, YSRCP spokesperson Putha Shivashankar Reddy denounced Naidu’s actions as a blatant abuse of power and an attack on press freedom.
Naidu targeted Sakshi media house exposing government failures, through unauthorized searches at its editor’s residence without a valid warrant. “This is an assault on the people’s voice. Naidu’s intolerance for criticism drives his misuse of state machinery to silence journalists,” Reddy stated. He further said Naidu fabricated a “liquor scam” to falsely implicate YSRCP leaders and supporters of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, calling it a conspiracy to intimidate honest former officials and settle political scores.
Putha contrasted Naidu’s petty vendettas with the nation’s focus on unity amid geopolitical tensions, warning that Naidu’s temporary power will not shield him from legal accountability. “Darkness may linger, but justice will prevail,” he asserted. YSRCP reaffirmed its support for Sakshi’s fearless journalism, dismissing Naidu’s attempts to coerce it into compliance. “Sakshi will continue exposing government failures, backed by the people’s support,” Reddy declared.
The party urged Andhra Pradesh citizens to unite against Naidu’s oppressive tactics and defend democratic values.
