YSR Congress is the future: Vijayamma

Firmly assuring that YSR Congress will bring back the YSR’s golden era soon by drawing curtains to the reckless Congress government and the irresponsibility of the opposition TDP, the party honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma said the future belonged to YSR Congress.

Addressing a mammoth public meeting at Pamarru in Krishna district on Wednesday, Sept 12, at which Gudivada TDP MLA Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao alias Nani, former TDP leader and prominent Dalit leader from Pamarru Uppuleti Kalpana, former Zilla Parishad chairman Kukkala Nageswara Rao from Movva, industrialist Vaka Vasudeva Rao from Pedana Assembly constituency and several ZPTC and MPTC members were formally admitted into the YSR Congress, Vijayamma said her son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will soon come out of the jail and lead the party from the front.

“Even from jail, he has been guiding the party and is instrumental in the party taking up various programmes on behalf of the people,” she said, adding that people are with Jagan and he is with the people and for the people.

She questioned the propriety of the Congress bigwigs in releasing the diary of YSR’s padayatra after remaining silent all these years.

Vijayamma asserted Jagan will come out from jail and revive all the YSR welfare schemes after forming the government.  The Congress government has either diluted or shelved all the welfare programmes but these will be revived fully by Jagan once he forms the government, she promised.

She remarked the Congress government has sent the state back by 20 years through its maladministration and said the YSRCP is the only party which can bring back the development and all YSR’s welfare schemes.

Vijayamma questions Congress hypocrisy

Vijayamma, questioning the hypocrisy of the Congress leaders in releasing the YSR padayatra diary, asked the Delhi bigwigs why they are silent for the last three years in heaping praises on YSR.

“These leaders remained silent when YSR’s name was included in the case relating to 26 GOs but now they are reciting his name. Is it not double standards of the Congress party?” she asked.

The Congress leaders have begun talking about the collective responsibility of the Cabinet when the state ministers faced rough weather. “In such a case, how can you justify Jagan’s arrest?”

"Besides Congress, TDP and a section of media tried to play foul by floating an imaginary theory that our party will merge with Congress," she said, adding that people and leaders of various parties are giving a fitting reply to this false propagonda by joining the YSR Congress.

Recalling that YSR had not imposed any sort of new taxes on people during his tenure as Chief Minister, Vijayamma asked the TDP as to why it has not questioned the tax raj of the congress government. “The TDP has totally failed to play its role as the opposition party and both TDP and Congress will be totally decimated whenever elections are held,” she said.
