*Coalition gagging Opposition voice*

Tadepalli, June 15: YSRCP has slammed the coalition government for trying to gag the voice of the Opposition and scuttling its right of freedom of expression by removing its social media pages from public domain by giving false complaints to the concerned companies. 

Speaking to media here on Monday, Party Legal Cell President S Manohar Reddy said, the Chandrababu government has removed the official YSRCP facebook account by lodging false complaint that the posts are objectionable though what was said in the posts are the reality about the DSC, Amaravati and other scams.

We will explore legal options and get the Facebook page restored as we had done it in the case of Instagram. Chandrababu’s dictatorial attitude continues in suppressing the voice of the Opposition while allowing his Party handles to target our Party and our leadership. 

The coalition government seems to have appointed police officers only to monitor and complain to the social media companies , Meta Platforms, to delete a particular post or remove the Page citing serious consequences and get the job done. 

The posts normally pertain to highlighting the atrocities of the coalition government from DSC irregularities to rampant corruption in governance and exposing the misdeeds of the State which are not unfounded but are backed with data and facts. 

Even press conferences of our Party leaders are being removed by social media which shows how intolerant Chandrababu is and how he is using police force to monitor and complain to the concerned Companies incessantly. 

At the same time, iTDP, the official handle of TDP has been posting material targeting individuals and speaking ill about them but there are complaints but even a slightest whisper against the coalition goes to the top seeking removal of post of closure of the account.
 
The entire system operates with TDP cadre giving a police complaint against the post and the police in turn registering a complaint and is attached with the post seeking Meta Platform to delete the post or close the page. 

What is being done is not only undemocratic but also unconstitutional and the coalition has to pay heavy price for it, he said.
