A Waste Of Rs.1600 crore On Water

Hyderabad: YSRCP
president and leader of opposition YS Jagan criticized the Government of AP for
wasting Rs.1600 crore on Pattiseema project. He condemned Babu for boasting to
have completed Pattiseema project in spite of it not having storage capacity.
He opined that the money should rather have been spent on Handri-Neeva project or
Galeru-Nagari project. He spoke during the discussion on Pattiseema project in
AP assembly.

YS Jagan questioned if it was possible to
save the Krishna Delta the requirement of which was 180 TMCs of water, with
just the 4 TMC Pattiseema project. He mentioned that Polavaram project on the
other hand had a capacity of 190 TMCs. He remarked that Dr.YS Rajasekhar Reddy
had gotten Polavaram right canal dug and Babu was using it to take water to
Pattiseema.
