Vijayamma pays tributes to Ambedkar

S. Vijayamma paid glorious tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on the eve of his 56^th
Vardhanti here on Thursday.

At a programme at the
party central office, Smt. Vijayamma garlanded the photo of Dr. Ambedkar and
exhorted the party leaders and activists to follow his principles. “Dr.
Ambedkar wanted the SCs and STs to grow economically and socially on par with
the forward castes and we shall all strive to achieve that aim,” she said in
her brief speech.

Smt. Vijayamma said Dr.
YSR struggled to ensure the development of SCs and STs during his regime and
party president Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will also follow the footsteps of
YSR. She regretted that Dalits are still backward in several fields even after
65 years of independence.
