Kurnool: YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy and YS Vijayamma paid rich tributes to late Shobha Nagireddy on her 1st death anniversary. Speaking on the occasion, YSR Congress chief YS Jagan said that are services done to the party and people of Kurnool district are appreciable. He visited Shobha's ghat and later took part in the first death anniversary program organized by the party. As a part of the program irrespective of the religion, people prayed and later a Free Mega Medical camp has been organized in the BBR School followed by the death anniversary events.
On the death Anniversary of Shobha Nagireddy, her husband Nandyala MLA Bhooma Nagireddy mentioned about her great Attitude to serve people. He mentioned the absence of Shobha is unexplainable and he never expected that this day would come in his life. He also mentioned that he is living only to take care of his children. Talking about her, he stated that she is a very dynamic lady and her life is full of ups and downs. Shobha used to respect relatives, talk to them and bother about their good and bad prevailing in their lives. She is not only a wife, but a best friend of mine said Bhooma Nagireddy. Then, the present Allagadda MLA and Shobha’s daughter, Akhila Priya, spoke about her mother with tears rolling in her eyes.
Talking about her mother, Akhila mentioned that her mother*s dream was to see YS Jagan as CM which she used to reiterate many times. As MLA she worked for people. After her daughter when I went to take her position, people have given me equal preference and respect to me and accepted. “My mother used to think about the development of Allagadda and even I am following her” said Akhila.
The statue was unveiled at the Sobha Nagireddy Ghat on the occasion of her first death anniversary by YS Vijayamma. After that she paid great tribute to her and memorized the times when they both used to interact with each other and specially the four years she spent along with her.
Every moment she is with me. She used to call me Akka so affectionately and shared that Vijayamma is in the place of her mother and supporting her at every moment. Vijayamma spoke on the occasion that the deficit of Shobha is irreparable. With tears in her eyes, Vijayamma said that she is unable to find words to talk about her. Then, YSRCP president Jagan addressed the people and party members and mentioned that she is like a sister to the whole party. Especially she took care of him like his sister – stated Jagan.

Speaking on the occasion, YSR Congress chief YS Jagan said the massive turnout despite the oppressive heat was indicative of the love of the people for Sobha Nagireddy. "What separates good MLAs from mere MLAs is their readiness to walk the extra mile for the welfare of the people.
That’s the reason, despite hot sun; thousands of people are attending the first anniversary and are paying their respect to her. She was elected by the people 5 times. She is a true leader and the way she supported the people is appreciable – stated Jagan.
"If Sharmila is my younger sister, Shobha Nagireddy is my elder sister. Though she wasn't with us Today, She will remain in the hearts of people forever. Her demise is a big loss to family and people. There might be so many MLAs, but Shobha Nagireddy leads the chart of good Law Makers as she always walked the extra mile for people's welfare," he told. Jagan recollected an incident which happened while he was taken to court from jail for the hearing of case. "Taking my hand into her palm, Shobhamma said - 'Neeke Inni Samasyalu Endukani'. I saw tears in her eyes and how much she cares for me on that day," reveals the YSRC Chief.
