20 lakh names deleted for Talliki Vandanam

Palasa, June 16: Former Minister Seediri Appalaraju reiterated that the government has deleted names of 20 lakh beneficiaries under Talliki Vandanam scheme after conveniently skipping the scheme last year.
Speaking to media here on Monday, he said the government has cheated all sections of people and data shows that the number of beneficiaries has come down by 20 lakhs for the much touted Talliki Vandanam scheme.
The UDIS Plus (Unified District Information System for Education) data of the central government shows that there ar 87,04,414 students during 2023-24 while the coalition government has been showing 67 lakh students which shows the fudging of figures by Minister Nara Lokesh on the implementation of Taliki Vandanam.
The previous YSRCP government, has deposited money in the in the accounts of 42.61 lakh mothers under the Amma Vodi scheme. Now the TDP coalition government is also saying that the number of mothers is 42 lakh. In that case, if the number of students increases, it should increase and when compared to the Central government data about 20 lakh students are missing from the beneficiary list, he said.
