TDP leaders have no confidence in Naidu

Hyderabad, May 4, 2013:
YSR Congress Party on Saturday asked the TDP leadership to desist from depicting
its leaders joining the YSRCP as bad commodities and said they are joining the
YSRCP following loss of confidence in their party leadership.

YSRCP spokesman and MLC
Jupudi Prabhakara Rao told newspersons here the TDP leaders, from Amarnath
Reddy to former MLC Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, have lost confidence in the leadership
of Chandrababu Naidu and have since joined the YSRCP.

“Most of the TDP
leaders have been vexed with the way the TDP is being run by Naidu who has no
concern for the people’s problems. They have found sincerity and commitment in
Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy and believed he is the only leader who can fight on
behalf of the people and hence they are joining our party,” Jupudi commented.

Referring to Dadi
Veerabhadra Rao’s decision to join the YSRCP, he said while Naidu as an
opposition leader in the assembly has compromised on people’s issues with the
Government, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao as an opposition leader in the Legislative
Council never compromised on issues of importance.

The TDP leaders, unable
to remain in the party which is being run as a limited company with brokers and
businessmen by Naidu, are joining the YSRCP. “I therefore request you to mend
your ways if you can or else stop criticizing your leaders joining our party,”
he told the TDP leadership.

Jupudi observed that
TDP lost 51 by-polls, failing to retain deposits in most of them, after the
2009 elections as it has no concern for people’s welfare and has continued to
support the anti-people Government.
