AP: The National Green Tribunal expressed intolerance and severe disappointment on the sand exploitation in the State. The tribunal reprimanded the Government on encouraging sand exploitation for illegal income. It mentioned that sand pillage will trigger serious imbalance in environment and cause great damage to the future generations.
The Tribunal suggested the Government to adapt and follow a clear system in Sand mining and mentioned that the ground water levels will fall with illegal sand exploitation. The petitioner has brought to the notice of NGT about the attack by a TDP MLA on MRO Vanajakshi who tried to stop sand exploitation.
