Hyderabad, Oct 5, 2013:
YSR Congress Party chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy began his indefinite fast
at Lotus Pond this morning demanding the Congress leadership and the Centre to
keep the state united.
Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy launched
his Deeksha at a make shift camp arranged at his Louts Pond residence after garlanding the statue of Dr. YSR.
He began the Deeksha at
11.30 am even as hundreds of party activists and fans gathered at the venue and
raised ‘Jai Jagan’ slogans.
Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy
described the Centre’s decision as arbitrary and made a fervent plea to
Congress leadership to roll back its decision on bifurcation.
“I also appeal to all
political parties to come together on this occasion and join the stir aimed at keeping
the state united,” he told a media conference last night.
