Ongole: YSRCP MP YV Subbareddy stated that he had spoken to the district's collector and the directors of DRDO on the phone about conducting Sadarem camps for the differently-abled in every assembly constituency. Mentioning how the handicapped people from far off areas like Giddaluru, Yarragondapalem and Markapuram were facing troubles to travel to Ongole RIMS for obtaining Sadarem certificates, he said that some severely-disabled persons were not even travelling due to their disability.
YV Subbareddy suggested to the officials that Sadarem camps were held by doctors of RIMS in various places, keeping disability of the physically-challenged in mind and certificates were issued right there. The officials apparently responded positively when Subbareddy had mentioned that in the screening camps recently held at Kambham and Kanigiri, 232 people had obtained Sadarem certificates from the 750 attendees and other had to go back empty-handed.
