Centre Stops Funds To AP

Taking serious note of irregularities in the utilisation of funds released for various development and welfare programmes,  the union government has stopped the release of money to Andhra Pradesh.  

YSR Congress leader and Tungodu Sarpanch Narayana Reddy and others told newsmen that the funds earmarked for employment guarantee programme were misappropriated as the government diverted the funds for other purposes. The TDP leaders swindled money meant for the employment programme.  As a result,  payments to the beneficiaries of the scheme was stopped. 


The YSR Congress leaders demanded Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to divert the funds being spent on check dams and Neeru-Meeru programme to the employement scheme to clear all pending dues.
