This is another good example for the services being rendered by
the NRI wing of YSRCP. Amala Desireddy (41) from Borireddygaripalle village of
Chinnagottigallu mandal of Chittoor district worked as a maid at Kuwait for
four years to feed her only daughter after the death of her husband. She recently
died due to ill-health. As it was taken to the notice of Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy
Bhaskar Reddy and Kuwait convener M.Balireddy that her body needed to be sent
to India, welfare member Duggi Gangadhar and Governing Council member
M.Chandrasekhar Reddy intervened and had ticket sanctioned through Indian
embassy. An ambulance was also arranged free of cost by Rajampet MP Peddireddy
Mithun Reddy to take the body from Chennai to her village, as informed by Gulf
convener Illiyas.
Speaking on this occasion,
Illiyas recollected the promise made by AP CM Chandrababu at the time of
elections to come to the aid of Gulf victims and commented that it had been
forgotten like all the other promises made by him. He appreciated YSRCP’s
Kuwait committee for their efforts in solving the Telugu people’s problems
brought to their notice and thanked all the leaders who had helped.
