*Amaravati steeped in corruption*

Tadepalli, May 1: Reiterating that Amaravati is a never-ending story, YSRCP has said the project is meant for wealth creation for Chandrababu and his coterie.

Speaking to media here on Friday, Party Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said Chandrababu is focusing only on Amaravati and leaving the rest of the State and people in lurch.

The cabinet, for the first time, has approved tenders for the yet to be built Secretariat with exorbitant rates with Rs 2,540 crores, and at this rate, the cost per sft may mount to Rs 16,000, which is manifold higher than the normal rate.

When YS Jagan Mohan Reddy gave the Mavigan proposal, which was widely debated by the people and came to general acceptance, Chandrababu and his propaganda machinery started their false propaganda targeting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and went on in a loop with all and sundry of TDP speaking up, which is a clear case of diversion politics.

The focus on Amaravati is so strong that the government has no time to look at other pressing issues, from MSP to farmers and the non-implementation of welfare schemes.

The coalition government, which has no money for building medical colleges, has been paying high rates to contractors, and Chandrababu has no intention to complete it but drag it as far as possible for kickbacks.

After the Mavigun suggestion and its economic viability and proximity to port, highway and airport, Chandrababu has further jacked up the prices, which shows his priorities.

The coalition has been targeting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP by bringing up irrelevant issues and has been harassing the cadre, but we will bounce back with greater vigour in the coming days, he said.
