Tadepalli, April 30: YSRCP Legal Cell State President Manohar Reddy strongly criticised that the coalition government is filing illegal cases to divert public attention from the ongoing fuel crisis. He said the arrest of senior journalist and YSRCP State General Secretary ( Media) Pudi Srihari is part of this larger conspiracy.
Speaking to the media at the party central office, he said the government is trying to silence voices that question it under the so-called “Red Book Constitution.” He pointed out that people are standing in long queues for ration, urea, petrol, and diesel, but instead of addressing these issues, the government is targeting opposition leaders and activists.
He stated that multiple cases have been filed against Pudi Srihari different locations on the same day with identical complaints. He questioned whether this is not organized crime. He said Srihari was picked up by police in plain clothes without proper identification and treated like a criminal.
He added that even after getting bail, fresh cases are being filed to keep him in custody. Courts have also questioned the use of serious sections against him. He alleged that police are misusing power and acting with bias.
He further said that while no action is taken against ruling party supporters for spreading hate, opposition voices are being targeted unfairly. He demanded that the government respect the courts and stop illegal harassment.
He made it clear that YSRCP will continue its fight and will face all cases legally without fear.
