*Be vigilant on Voter List Revision, protect every vote: Sajjala*

Tadepalli, April 30: YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy urged party cadres to remain highly vigilant during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and ensure that no genuine votes are deleted while preventing the addition of bogus entries. Addressing a review meeting at the party central office attended by General Secretary Lella Appireddy, IT, social media, booth committee leaders, and district representatives, he stressed that past experiences demand heightened alertness to counter any irregularities by the ruling party. He alleged that large-scale voter deletions had taken place ahead of the 2019 elections through manipulative methods and cautioned that similar attempts could be repeated.
Sajjala emphasized that booth committees play a critical role in safeguarding voter data and must effectively use technology while being aware of its misuse. He said every effort should be made to protect the votes of party supporters and ensure no wrongful deletions occur. Referring to the use of older electoral data, he pointed out that relying on outdated rolls ignores demographic changes over decades and could lead to unjust exclusions. He also cited instances from other states where large numbers of voters were reportedly removed during revisions, underlining the need for constant monitoring.

He directed the cadre to prepare all necessary data in advance, identify active workers at zonal levels, and provide them with proper training. He called for the formation of dedicated teams at parliamentary and assembly constituency levels and the creation of a special task force to handle SIR-related work. Strong micro-level management, coordination among booth-level agents, and disciplined organisation, he said, are essential to ensure electoral integrity and achieve better results than previous elections.
YSRCP General Secretary and MLC Lella Appireddy echoed the call, urging leaders at district and constituency levels to take the exercise seriously, conduct review meetings, and coordinate closely with the party central office. He said the leadership is closely monitoring the process and emphasized that the responsibility of protecting every vote rests with the cadre, which will play a decisive role in the party’s success.
