YSRCP Sees A Conspiracy In Police Officials’ Promotions

Amaravathi: YSR Congress Party general secretary V Vijayasai Reddy urged Governor ESL Narasimhan to order enquiry into the promotion of 37 DSPs by the TDP government just before the elections in the State. He saw a conspiracy in the move and questioned how it could be that all 37 DSPs belonged to one single community of the State.
In his letter to the Governor on Monday, he alleged that the TDP government had failed to follow the mandatory rules when promoting a DSP-level officer. “Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu favoured police officials from his own community to get promotions at the cost of flouting established norms,” he alleged.
The YSR Congress Party leader urged the Governor to cancel all the promotions if they were found against the rules and to initiate action against the government that allowed it to happen.
