Tadepalli, Aug 11: YSRCP has charged the coalition government with terrorizing the industrialists with extortion and harassment forcing numerous units to leave the state.
Speaking to media here on Tuesday, Party spokesperson Veera Sekhar Reddy said, the ruling party leaders are resorting to extortion and threats on industrialists and obstructing the functioning of the factories unless they pay the ransom.
UltraTech Cement was targeted by Adinarayana Reddy at Jammalamadugu blocking the supply chain of raw materials, filing cases and intimidating the company workers.
Industries like UltraTech, Zuari, L&T, Dalmia, Sagar, Chettinad Sri and Bhavya are among the cement companies that have faced threats.
Of late, they targeted Bharathi Cements in Yerraguntla by threatening workers going on way to factory. Transport of raw limestone is being blocked, vehicles are been stopped and workers are being intimidated. For the past 17 years nearly 15,000 people are being employed directly and indirectly and their livelihoods are at stake.
No action is being taken by police and on the contrary, they are quick to respond in arresting those who are protesting against the atrocities of the ruling dispensation.
The government has created such an atmosphere that industries are feeling insecure and many business units worth Rs 12,890 crores had fled the State. They include companies like Coca-Cola, Ginfra, Jupiter Renewable Energy, Tata Power and others.
During YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s period, investments worth Rs 1.20 lakh crore have come in while during Chandrababu’s term just Rs 6,500 worth of investments have coming and people know the contrast.
From Krishnapatnam to Srikakulam Ports the TDP cadre and leaders are threatening and extorting money. All work is being done on bribe.
