Tadepalli, September 4: YSRCP Teachers’ MLCs Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy and Kalpalatha Reddy demanded a CBI investigation into Mega DSC-2025, saying teacher posts were given through backdoor routes to candidates without mandatory TET eligibility and through questionable Sports Quota certificates.
They said the recruitment had become a “managed and manipulated DSC” in which deserving unemployed candidates were sidelined while party-linked beneficiaries secured appointments. Citing the case of Ediga Prabhakar, whose lack of TET qualification was subsequently confirmed by education officials, they demanded a comprehensive review of all Sports Quota appointments instead of treating it as an isolated case.
The MLCs said serious questions remained over the Sports Quota process, where 382 entries were reflected in the final merit records, and pointed to certificates relating to tournaments that did not take place, disputed signatures, mismatched main and backup sports certificates, and merit positions inconsistent with official tournament records. They also questioned why SAAP initially spoke of 870 questionable certificates but later information referred to only 32 fake certificates, and demanded disclosure of the action taken against them.
They raised the Naveen case again, asking how an outsourced employee connected with the examination system secured Rank 1 and why he was later denied appointment. They also questioned the concentration of question-paper preparation and examination functions and demanded full disclosure of the digital and recruitment records.
The MLCs said data on the Education Department website was altered and later became inaccessible after questions were raised, and demanded restoration and publication of all merit, verification and Sports Quota records.
They criticised the government for refusing a detailed discussion in the Legislative Council while defending DSC in the Assembly, and for using selected teachers in protests against those questioning the recruitment.
“From the question-paper process to final appointments, every disputed stage must be independently investigated,” they said, demanding that Nara Lokesh accept responsibility and face a CBI probe into the entire Mega DSC-2025 recruitment.
