Coalition Mocking Democracy
25 Oct 2026 4:40 PM

Anantapur, Oct 25:YSRCP has slammed the coalition for mocking democracy in the local body elections by misusing office and intimidating opposition candidates.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, former minister Sake Sailajanath said Chandrababu has been playing his old game of deception and is making a mockery of democracy by rigging the election process.
YSRCP candidates are being prevented from filing nominations, and those already filed are being rejected on flimsy grounds.
Active party candidates, including women, were taken into police custody, threatened with false cases, and in some cases, withdrawals were forged.
Fake nominations are being filed in the name of YSRCP, he said, and demanded action against erring officials.
All this is being done because Chandrababu is scared of defeat, as people are vexed with his governance.
