Tadepalli, August 11: YSRCP State Spokesperson Vangaveeti Narendra warned that if Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu continued to remain silent on the Mega DSC–2025 scam, the YSRCP would join students, unemployed youth and affected families in a sustained movement to unseat his government. He said Chandrababu must decide whether protecting his son Nara Lokesh politically was more important than protecting the future of lakhs of unemployed youth and their families.
Narendra demanded Lokesh’s resignation as Education Minister and an immediate CBI investigation into the DSC irregularities. He said the government had still not answered the specific questions raised by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on centralisation of the recruitment process, use of outsourcing personnel in confidential question-paper preparation and uploading, exemption of Sports Quota candidates from the written examination, controversial sports certificates, and audio-video material relating to negotiations for teacher posts. “If nothing wrong happened, why is the government afraid of a CBI probe?” he asked.
He said the overwhelming public response to YSRCP’s 74-day agitation had unnerved the government. Instead of answering unemployed youth, police notices, arrests, restrictions and cases were being used to suppress rallies and peaceful protests. YSRCP was not questioning those who secured jobs, but was fighting for candidates who suffered injustice and were being forced to spend time and money in courts.
Narendra also demanded immediate clearance of nearly Rs. 9000 crore in Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena dues, saying students were struggling to attend examinations and obtain certificates. He further demanded payment of the promised Rs. 3000 monthly unemployment allowance, stating that the accumulated commitment was ₹1.08 lakh per unemployed youth.
“Police repression and diversionary politics will not silence this movement. Lokesh must resign, the CBI must investigate DSC, student dues must be cleared and unemployment allowance must be paid. Until then, the struggle will continue,” Narendra said.
