YSRCP flags voter data chori through My TDP app

Velagapudi, June 15: YSRCP MLC Lella Appi Reddy said the party has submitted a representation to the Chief Electoral Officer seeking immediate action against the collection of sensitive voter information through the “My TDP” app during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. He stated that the app seeks details such as caste and political affiliation, raising serious concerns over voter privacy and the misuse of electoral data.
The party urged the Election Commission to ensure transparency by accepting documents from unmapped voters during enumeration, issuing acknowledgements on the spot, authenticating BLA identity cards through official verification, and publishing daily online updates on the progress of the SIR process.
Lella Appi Reddy also condemned police restrictions on YSRCP leaders from addressing the media after meeting the CEO, stating that suppressing elected representatives from expressing public concerns is against democratic principles. He affirmed that YSRCP will continue to safeguard voters’ rights and expose electoral irregularities through democratic means
